Frequently Asked Questions
Security Doors
What are your security doors made from?
Our security doors are made from a steel tub frame with a variety of steel tube and wrought iron internal designs.
Do you offer a key alike service?
We do! When ordering a new door this can be arranged by dropping off your key close to the end of production. We do all key alike services in house and will bring your key with us when we install the door.
Do you offer a triple lock system?
No, due to the lack of necessity. Triple lock systems are common aluminium frame security door as the aluminium is weaker and easier to break - meaning a triple lock system provides extra security. Our doors however are made from very strong steel tube which is impossible to bend or break, negating the need for a triple lock.
Do you offer custom designs?
Yes, please feel free to let us know if you'd like to alter an existing design or go with something completely different. There is extra charges involved with this that we can quote after measuring.
What is the lead time for a security door?
After enquiring with us, we will provide a preliminary quote based on your request. We will often require pictures of where you would like the product installed, to confirm suitability. Once you have approved this preliminary quote, we will organise a day and time to come measure.
After measuring we will then update the quote if needed. This may be to cover complexities or customisations that weren't apparent on your initial request, or any extras/add ons that you requested at the time of measure.
Once you've accepted the final quote, we require a 50% deposit to send your job into the manufacturing queue. Please note, this does not mean that your job has immediately begun production. It is simply placed in the queue which follows a first come first serve basis. Due to the length of our queue, it can take several weeks for us to begin producing your order.
Lead times fluctuate up and down year-round, so nothing can ever be guaranteed. Having said this, it averages roughly 10 weeks from the first deposit to the completion of manufacturing.
Once complete we will notify you and request payment of the remaining 50% of the order before we install.
Where are your security doors made?
All security doors are made right here in SA at our North Plympton factory.
Do you make double doors?
Yes we can make double doors for our security door designs. Typically this would be two identical doors side by side with one designated as the active door and the inactive door held in place with patio bolts on the top and bottom. Get in contact with us for more info.
