Security Door Mesh Types

When choosing the screen type for your security door there are several options that can alter the functionality and appearance of your door. See below for an explanation of each.

  • Tuff Mesh

Standard with most doors and made from woven aluminium. Provides moderate security and airflow.

  • Heavy Duty Mesh

Made from 316 Grade Stainless Steel and offered as an optional upgrade (standard with ICD-14 and ICD- 15). Provides high security and standard airflow.

  • Restricted Vision Mesh

Optional upgrade for all doors. Provides moderate security (similar in strength to standard tuff mesh) and high level privacy with restricted vision looking in but unrestricted vision looking out.

Standard Tuff Mesh

This is the default mesh for most of our doors. With decent strength and airflow, this will suffice for most applications.

Heavy Duty 316 Stainless Steel Mesh

For upgraded strength and wear and tear resistance, the heavy duty mesh is the way to go. Made from 316 stainless steel weaved together and powder coated. This comes with an extra cost for most doors, but is included with the Sturt and Eyre designs.

Restricted Vision Screen

If privacy is your biggest concern, the restricted vision screen gives you the ability to see out, but restricted ability to see in. This is perfect if your front door is close to foot traffic, but you'd still like to keep it open for airflow on a nice day.

No Screen

Sometimes, you don't need a screen at all. This will work better with designs that feature sufficient metal work to provide some security in front of your front door. This is also common with enclosures.
